People in the News: Neal Huffman joins Republic Bank, Governor appoints 4 NKyians


Republic Bank’s new loan specialist

Republic Bank has named Neal Huffman as its new Mortgage Loan Specialist. As a Mortgage Loan Specialist, Huffman will be responsible for handling all duties related to residential, construction and mortgage loans for Republic Bank. He will work with clients on the loan application process, including originating loan documentation and conducting loan funding and process payments.

“Often these transactions are the largest investments someone can make, therefore it is critical for our customers to consult with a thoughtful professional like Neal that will carefully listen and appreciate the individual’s situation and financial goals.”
 
A University of Cincinnati graduate, Huffman comes to Republic Bank with over 12 years of experience in the financial industry. He will be working out of Republic’s new full-service banking center in Norwood set to open later this summer.
 
He currently resides in Mason where he enjoys spending time with friends, family and the great outdoors.

Governor’s appointments

Among numerous appointments to various boards and commissions, Gov. Matt Bevin has chosen XX of NKyians for positions.

They are:

Florence Mayor Diane E. Whalen has been appointed to the Animal Control Advisory Board. 

Whalen is Mayor of Florence and will be representing the Kentucky League of Cities and shall serve for a term expiring Feb. 26, 2020.

John M. Stanton of Edgewood has been appointed to the Governor’s Scholars Program Board of Directors. 

Stanton is a former Governor’s Scholar and the Director of External Affairs for Kenton County. Stanton holds a degree in Economics from Centre College and received his JD from Vanderbilt University.

Earl Bush of Brooksville has been appointed to the Kentucky Water Resources Board. Bush is the County Judge/Executive of Bracken County. Bush is representing the Kentucky County Judge/Executive Association and shall serve for a term expiring July 15, 2019.

Andrew J. Cole of Crestview Hills has been appointed to the Kentucky Commission on Community Volunteerism and Service. Cole, of Crestview Hills, is the director of Campus Ministry for Thomas More College.

Cole will be representing individuals with expertise in educational, training and developmental needs of the youth and shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 3, 2017. He is filling an unexpired term due to a resignation.
