Each of the remaining passengers also received a huge surprise – two free round-trip ticket vouchers.

“Allegiant began flying out of CVG a little more than two years ago, and their growth has been tremendous,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer, CVG. “Not only have they increased to serving 14 nonstop markets, but they’ve established a base of operations here in Cincinnati.”

In mid-November, Allegiant will begin nonstop service from CVG to New York City via Newark, which is a big move into the popular market.

“We’re excited to celebrate this important milestone with our partners at CVG and with our passengers, who without their support this would not have been possible,” said Brandon Myers, public relations, Allegiant. “Celebrating our one millionth passenger here at CVG gives us the opportunity to say ‘thank you’.”

Since February of 2014, Allegiant has operated more than 3,500 flights with a load factor of more than 88 percent and provides nonstop service to 14 different markets.
