Registration is now open for the annual Governor’s Conference on Energy and the Environment to be held Sept. 21-22, 2016, at the Lexington Convention Center, 430 West Vine Street in Lexington.
Topics covered at the 40th conference will include corporate sustainability initiatives, renewable energy, energy efficiency, today’s utility landscape, and environmental policies. An exciting lineup of business and industry representatives, government officials, and others will speak during the day-and-a half conference.
This year, the awards luncheon on Sept. 22 will feature Lt. Governor Jenean Hampton and will include recognition of recipients of the inaugural Secretary’s Award, presented to both an individual and an entity that has demonstrated long-term leadership and commitments to sustainability, environmental protection, conservation of natural resources, or responsible development of energy resources.
