The Boone County Public Library offers events at its branches and throughout the county during the month of September. Some events are one time only while others are recurring throughout the month. Stuck in the 60s is an acoustic oldies musical act, which performs a variety of folk, rock, and pop from the late 1950s through the early 1970s. This duo performs different harmonies, fun medleys, some comedy, and challenges the audience to try to stump them by taking requests!

The Clay Studio: Punch Plate and Tile Glazing

Design your own 6” square ceramic tile. The tiles will be painted with glaze for a glossy finish, perfect for decoration or a trivet. Also, create a small dish by pressing stamps onto a flat slab of clay. The clay will be punched into foam to raise the edges of the plate and then painted with glaze. These two pieces must be fired in a kiln and will be available for pick-up three weeks after the workshop. $10 materials fee. Please register.

Author Terry W. Lehmann shares the history of the transit service that provided fast and convenient transportation between Cincinnati and the smaller communities in Northern Kentucky. As times changed, the company initiated interstate trolley coach operations and even obtained exclusive rights to serve the Greater Cincinnati airport on its opening. In honor of National Falls Prevention Day, free health screenings and education for all adults will be provided by health organizations and companies.
