The Kenton County Sheriff’s Office has announced that Sheriff Charles “Chuck” Korzenborn has been inducted into the Kentucky Veterans Hall of Fame.
The induction ceremony for the 24 honorees took place in Frankfort September 16-17 and included three other Northern Kentuckians.
“Our organization exists to honor the sacrifice of these men and women who devote their lives to community and country,” said H.B. Deatherage, founder and president of the Kentucky Veterans Hall of Fame.
This is the third class of inductees into the Hall of Fame, which honors all branches of the U.S. Military and multiple conflicts.
Other inductees from Northern Kentucky in the 2016 class included:
Staff Sgt. Kenneth Aynes, Air Force, Kenton County
Gunnery Sgt. Samuel D. Deeds, Marine Corps, Kenton County
Pfc. Harvey L. Hampton, Air Force, Campbell County
“I was humbled to be listed in the company of those who gave so much in the service of our country and will continue to strive to honor their sacrifice,” Korzenborn, who achieved the rank of Staff Sgt. in the Army, said.
