Beechwood High School’s Marching Band brought home its sixth state championship in the last seven years in the Kentucky Music Education Association state competition this weekend.

The Marching Tigers — 80 young musicians strong — brought home the big trophy. They were greeted by a crowd of well-wishes, complete with cheers and balloons — and promptly participated in a parade and performance.
The Tigers have dominated the state competition since 2010, winning every year but 2014. They also won in 1990 and 2006.
