‘Big Dave Show” and B-105FM win top Country Music Association award; show’s personalities are NKyians

Garth Brooks called the The Big Dave Show/B-105FM morning show today to inform them the station had won two prestigious Country Music Association (CMA) awards.

For the first time in the station’s 47-year history it will receive both the “Large Market Station of the Year” and “Large Market Personality of the Year” for Big Dave and the “Big Dave Show.” 

All three of the “Big Dave Show” personalities live in Northern Kentucky where Dave, Chelsie and Statt lend their time and talents to numerous community causes.
 
They are transplants who have made Northern Kentucky their home. Dave is originally from Murfreesboro, Tenn., but resides in Fort Mitchell; Chelsie is from Aurora, Indiana, now residing in Burlington and Statt, originally from Finneytown/Cincinnati resides in Villa Hills).  

The B-105FM station manager, Grover Collins, lives in Florence.  

The station has consistent strong market share in Northern Kentucky.

The awards show is Wednesday, Nov. 2 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville and will be broadcast live on ABC.  Dave will likely take the awards show to commercial for a station break.  As in, “Coming up next…”  2016 marks the 50th anniversary of the Country Music Association awards and the show is sure to be a retrospective spectacle.

In 2014, the radio trio won the Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM) “Large Market Personality of the Year” award.  In 2012, Dave and Chelsie won an ACM in the same category. This marks the first CMA award the trio has won together.
