October is National Adopt-A-Dog month and the Florence Freedom and Allie’s Walkabout are putting on a free dog themed event at UC Health Stadium this Sunday.
Adopt-A-Palooza will run from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the home of the Northern Kentucky’s minor league baseball team in Florence.
The event will feature three dog adoption agencies that will provide an opportunity for fans to go home with a dog that day. Also on hand will be numerous dog vendors featuring free goodies, doggie trick-or-treating, fetch with your dog in the outfield. There will be dog-training courses and a dress up contest on the infield.
The Freedom are also hoping fans 21 and over and help them “Finish-Off The Kegs” as draft and can beer will be just $1, including specialty craft selections.
Fans are welcomed to bring their leashed dogs to the ballpark to share the good time with their four-legged friends.
