The Point Arc to hold open house for its 10th residential home, the Durr Home in Ft. Mitchell


The Point Arc will host an open house on Sunday, October 16th, to showcase The Durr Home, the organization’s 10th residential home.

The Durr Home is located at 2307 Dixie Highway in Ft. Mitchell.

Then The Point Arc’s Judi Gerding found this 4-unit apartment for sale, a grant was written for a residential option to the RC Durr Foundation which granted the $300,000 gift to make the purchase possible.

On October 8th the last steps where taken with the help of 23 volunteers from the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity-UC to clean up the inside and outside of the property for its new residents.

The Point’s mission is to provide opportunities to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach their highest potential educationally, residentially, socially and vocationally.

The Point Residential Programs provides residential services to adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, irrespective of race, creed or sex. The program provides a nurturing, stable, and secure environment designed to help individuals develop to their maximum potential. The program is serves people based on their individual needs so they can become contributing and inclusive members of their community.

The residences provide a variety of living opportunities, including licensed group homes, a staffed residence, a home with staff support, and an apartment program.

The Durr Home will be open for tours on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
