Leftover household products that contain corrosive, toxic, ignitable or reactive ingredients are considered to be household hazardous waste (HHW). HHW is the group of chemicals and other substances that are commonly found in many homes but require special attention when being discarded.

The Northern Kentucky Household Hazardous Waste Action Coalition was established to protect Northern Kentucky’s public health and the environment by facilitating the safe disposal of household hazardous waste. This is done through regional collaboration in providing the community public education, engagement and outreach opportunities.

All residents who plan to drop of items must complete a registration form and bring it on the day of the event. This completed form will help with the flow of traffic and will reduce wait time.
