Kenton County ‘Letters To Santa, Letters From Santa’ begins Nov. 7, dropoff at libraries, courthouses

Kenton County Parks & Recreation, in cooperation with Kenton County Public Library, has announced that its “Letters To Santa, Letters From Santa” program will begin on Monday, Nov. 7.

letters-to-santaThrough this program, children will be able to mail a letter to Santa and receive a response from Santa by Christmas. Santa Express Mailboxes will be installed in Kenton County Public Libraries and Kenton County Courthouses on Nov. 7 and will remain there until Dec. 5. There is no postage necessary for letters that are dropped off at these locations.

Santa, of course, knows where each child lives; however, the post office needs home addresses to deliver the letters! Because each child at the same address will receive a different letter from Santa at home, it is very important that the child’s name and complete home address are correct and legible.

The program is free, but residents are asked to help Kenton County Parks & Recreation share their holiday spirit by bringing a non-perishable food or personal care item donation for Be Concerned when dropping off the letters. There will be specially decorated barrels right next to the mailboxes.

The goal is 2,500 letters and 2,500 donated items!

Letters to Santa and donations will be accepted at each of the three Kenton County Public Library branches and both of the Kenton County Courthouses during regular business hours.
