PWC staff members and volunteers will provide winter preparation services for low-income, elderly and disabled homeowners throughout the Greater Cincinnati region.

“Prepare Affair is one of our favorite events because thousands of volunteers come together to make a difference in our local community, throughout Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Dayton and Southeast Indiana,” said Jock Pitts, President and CEO at People Working Cooperatively. “There are so many homeowners who could use our help to prepare for winter, so if you have the ability to volunteer, please consider joining us.”

Prepare Affair is PWC’s annual fall volunteer event that provides help to low-income, elderly and disabled homeowners with the winter preparation services they need to keep their homes safe and livable throughout the cold weather season.

Projects range from raking leaves and cleaning gutters to other small winter preparation tasks.

During last year’s Prepare Affair, more than 2,400 volunteers from around the community assisted approximately 950 homeowners. Prepare Affair teams will be comprised of individuals, families, businesses and community groups.

Volunteers may register online at www.pwchomerepairs.org. For more information, contact Aaron Grant, PWC volunteer program manager at (513) 351-7921.

Prepare Affair is presented by the City of Cincinnati and The Home Depot Foundation.

Major sponsors include Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and Macy’s.
