The Boone County Sheriff’s office reports an Erlanger man has turned himself in, admitting to hitting a child on her way to school Wednesday. Adam Fleckinger, 31, is charged with hit and run/leaving the scene of an accident and driving with an expired operators license.
Updated information December 15, 2016 – Adam Fleckinger, 31 of the 3,400 block of Queensway Drive in Erlanger, Kentucky turned himself in last night admitting to his involvement in the collision. He is charged with Hit & Run/Leaving the scene of an accident and expired operators license.
The Boone County Sheriff’s office released the following statement about a driver who struck a 12-year-old girl on Queensway Drive this morning and fled the scene:
On Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at approximately 6:50 a.m. the Boone County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of a hit and run accident involving a 12-year-old student who was struck from behind as she was walking to her bus stop on Queensway Drive near Erlanger in unincorporated Boone County.
Kaylee Bane, 12 of the 3,400 block of Queensway Drive was walking with a friend near the edge of the road (no sidewalk) to their bus stop when she was struck from behind by a vehicle and thrown to the ground where she sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the car accelerated toward Donaldson Road leaving the scene.
