Originally settled in 1805, Shaker Village is located about an hour and a half south of northern Kentucky. The largest National Historic Landmark in Kentucky, it comprises The Historic Centre, The Farm and The Preserve – all settings for active and immersive exploration and adventure. Thirty-four original 19th century buildings dot the grounds, including 13 restored Shaker buildings that house guest rooms, suites and private cottages.

When visitors arrive this holiday season, they will find Shaker Village trimmed with beautiful greens, compliments of Mother Nature, and lots of activities designed to evoke the charm of Christmas past.

Illuminated Evenings, included in Shaker Village’s $5 After 5 p.m. program offering extended hours, are candlelit evenings that will take place 5-8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Dec. 2-17. Holiday music, roaring fires, twinkling lights and special visits with Mrs. Claus are part of the fun. Each Saturday features different performers, programs and tours.

Children must be accompanied by a paying adult. $12.95/all ages (includes admission).

Shaker Village’s three shops will be filled with new merchandise brought in to celebrate the holiday season. Find the signature Shaker oval boxes, books, soaps and lotions, unique children’s gifts and more.

And there’s much more to enjoy throughout the village. Children are invited to visit Santa’s helpers and make a holiday craft to take home at the Elf Shop.
