Florence Police have their work cut out for them in identifying the man who robbed the Heritage Bank location on US 42 last week.
A surveillance photo released today shows a man in a grey hoodie with a dark mask completely covering his face and a pair of sunglasses on top of his head.
He is identified only as a white male that was wearing latex gloves at the time of the robbery.
The man entered the bank, located at 7434 US 42 on Friday, Dec. 23 at about 4 p.m. and presented a note stating he had a gun, but no weapon was ever displayed.
The man left with an undetermined amount of cash and a police K-9 that responded to the scene tracked to a vacant parking lot, but the suspect was not located.

Florence Police issued the following statement regarding the incident:
On 12/23/16 at approximately 4:02 P.M., an unknown male entered the Heritage Bank located at 7434 US42. The male walked up to a bank teller and handed her a note. The note stated, “You are being robbed, I have a gun. Put the money in the sack.” After receiving an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect fled on foot. A police K-9 responded to the scene and tracked directly to a vacant parking lot.
The suspect is a white male and was last seen wearing a gray hoodie with a mask covering his face. He also had on mirrored sunglasses and was wearing a pair of latex gloves. The suspect never displayed a gun and never spoke to the teller.
