The Florence Rotary and Steinford Toy Foundation will be “Wrapping Up” a successful toy drive for the 2016 Holiday Season on Thursday, Dec. 8th. Please donate unwrapped new or gently used toys at any of the locations listed.

“We are so fortunate to live in such a generous community” states project Florence Rotary Chairperson Pat Raverty of Turnbull-Wahlert Construction. “The response this year from businesses and organizations to serve as collection sites has reach almost 100 which surpassed last year’s number of 57 sites.”
During the Great Depression, a Northern Kentucky couple, Rose and George Steinford, witnessed many needy children in their neighborhood who were not experiencing the joys of Christmas.
Rose and George, who had no children of their own, assumed the roles of Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus by purchasing, repairing and distributing used toys to these children. Today, that tradition is continued through the Steinford Toy Foundation, founded in 1973, and the Foundation’s volunteers that collect and distribute the toys. Last year over 4,000 children in Northern Kentucky were served, up from over 3,000 the previous year.
The Florence Rotary and Steinford Toy Foundation would like to thank Turbull-Wahlert Construction and Paul Feuss of All State Signs and Printing for their generous support of time and talent for this worthwhile cause.
The Steinford Toy Foundation is a completely volunteer driven organization.
