Southbank Partners and the cities of Bellevue and Newport celebrated the completion of Taylor Creek Overlook Park Wednesday afternoon.

An integral part of the Riverfront Commons project, the park stabilizes and improves and river bank area. It also provides green space with a spectacular view of the Cincinnati skyline.

Taylor Creek Overlook Park is located on Newport’s Riverboat Row between Chart House Restaurant and Joe’s Crab Shack.

Rep. Keene gave the keynote address.

The park “provides new great space and a future venue for gatherings along the riverfront,” said Keene.

There was plenty of praise for Southbank’s Jack Moreland and his crucial leadership role in making the project a reality.

Duke Energy gave Southbank a $10,000 grant for the park, which is part of the larger Riverfront Commons hike-bike trail system.
