THURSDAY, MARCH 2
ARTIC SKY loves the track winning five times here and will be hard to catch with Jimenez aboard tonight. ZIPMEISTER dropped in class and showed sharp improvement in his last two with Quinonez picking up the mount tonight. HIGHROLLER DAVE just missed here two weeks ago and has to be considered.
RACE 2
NEO VIBRANT dropped in class then clobbered maidens last out. CENTER POINTE comes off fast sprints and should be on the lead again with Lagunes in the saddle tonight. ROCCO SOLID easily beat three-year-old maidens last race but is trying older horses tonight.
RACE 3
LIL LUCILLE RUNS for high percentage trainer Mike Maker and should have little trouble with these. VIRGINIA WALLS will show her speed from the inside. CHOCOLATE CHERRIES shows a win against much tougher at Churchill, runs well fresh and gets in light with apprentice Kurtz.
RACE 4
CITRUS MISS has improved with each of her three starts here and looks ready at a price. BLUSH BE GONE won back to back races in December before a big move up in class. She still finished second in wide open company and leading rider Quinonez is back aboard. ROHAN beat $7,500 non-winners of three last out with Gilligan in the irons.
RACE 5
SOULADAR is a fast gelding who shortens back up to his best distance of five and half furlongs. MATAR has raced well with classier and drops back down to $5,000 but has not been out since October at Gulfstream West which is a concern. STROKE was bumped hard leaving the gate last out and should run better tonight.
RACE 6
BROADWAY BROAD comes up from Gulfstream after racing well with much tougher. She has not been out since November with Jimenez picking up the mount tonight. SLIGO PLATA is a speedy filly who drops back down and shortens up. BRIXTON is a five year old making only her fourth career start and drops in value.
RACE 7
CLASSIC SALSA is a nine time winner who has banked nearly $350,00 on the tough New York circuit. He makes his first start for leading trainer Mike Maker. His works are brilliant and looks much the bes with Jack Gilligan aboard. CA’S IN THE MOOD does his best running here with four wins and four seconds. He should figure in exacta payoffs. MR. CHOW has the speed to race in front.
RACE 8
PERPETRATOR is a four year old who finished fifth off of a seven month layoff. He needed that race and picks up high percentage jockey Quinonez tonight. LO’S JOURNEY comes off of back to back seconds here and is well placed. GUILTY STREAK finished a game third last trip for trainer Helen Pitts-Blasi with Jack Gilligan back aboard tonight. He has to be considered in the gimmicks.,/p>
RACE 9
QUEEN OF CORONA was only beaten three lengths with $15,000 maidens despite a terrible trip. She drops in for $7,500 and figures the best with Prescott back aboard. PARKERELIZABETH is a Florida invader who was second in her local debut and should do better tonight for Maker and Quinonez. LOVE ABUDHABI raced with classier in both of her career starts.
