W. Ron Adams Law is again awarding two scholarships for graduating high school seniors to help fund their college tuition the following year.

Adams is doubling the award this year to show support against student debt.

With the student loan debt crisis looming over so many, Adams shows support by promoting safe alternatives to avoid debt issues such as bankruptcy.

“I don’t want young people entering this slippery slope if they can avoid it, the job market is too hard these days.” Adams said.

This year his firm has doubled the scholarship amount and is offering two graduating seniors $1,000 each for the two following awards:

Lady Ruth Adams Memorial Scholarship

The Lady Ruth Adams Memorial Scholarship is awarded to an honorable son or daughter of a Northern Kentucky Firefighter who exhibits strong character, motivation and initiative.

Ron Adams Success with Disabilities Scholarship

The W. Ron Adams Success with Disabilities Scholarship recognizes an extraordinary graduating senior encompassing drive and determination while coping with a disability.

Adams knows what it takes to achieve success while experiencing hardship and coping with a disability. He has done it many times over.

His remarkable story of courage and perseverance was detailed in a NKyTribune story last year.

Many Kentucky stories are told with some mix of poverty, abuse, coal, basketball, tragedy, and at least one loving parent — and Adams’ story is no exception. His story is comprised of all, but defying death three times is simply what makes it more interesting.
