TMC’s marching band, dance team, mascot Tommy MO to march in Opening Day Parade for first time


Some royal blue will be mixed in with the sea of red when the Thomas More College Marching Band, Cheerleaders, Dance Team and Mascot Tommy Mo march in the 98th annual Findlay Market Opening Day Parade for the first time.

The Marching Saints began in 2014 with just 26 members and it now boasts nearly 100 members strong.

“Not only is this an incredible honor for the Marching Saints to have been selected, but it is also a  testament to the growth of our program,” said the President of Thomas More College, David Armstrong, J.D. “I’m thrilled that our students are being given this opportunity, and I’m eager for them to share their talents with the Greater Cincinnati Area on this festive day marking the official start of Reds season.”  

The 98th annual Findlay Market Opening Day Parade kicks off at noon on April 3 in Over-the-Rhine.

The parade begins at Findlay Market on Race Street. It travels down Race to 5th, turning east on 5th and ending at the Taft Theater. 

The Thomas More College Marching Saints will be position number 162 walking between Jack Casino and Meijer.

  1. TMC’s band is under the direction of a wonderful band director, Randy Webb. Not surprised that he has built the band program so quickly. He is a great teacher and motivator and really cares about kids. Thomas More is lucky to have him.
