A Campbell County Grand Jury has indicted a former Campbell County district judge on nine felony and two misdemeanor counts.

Timothy Nolan, 70, of California, Ky., was indicted on: one count of human trafficking with a person under age 18, a Class B felony; one count of first degree rape, a Class B felony; five counts of human trafficking with adults, a Class C felony; one count of second degree unlawful transaction with a minor, a Class D felony; one count of tampering with a witness, a Class D felony; one count of third degree unlawful transaction with a minor, a Class A misdemeanor; and one count of prostitution, a Class B misdemeanor.
An arrest warrant was sought for Nolan April 20 by the Campbell County Police Department for the crimes that occurred in August 2016. Special Campbell District Judge Elizabeth Chandler arraigned Nolan on April 21 on those charges and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for May 5.
Attorney General Andy Beshear’s Special Prosecution Division is handling the case. The division is responsible for assisting local prosecutors in complex or sensitive cases, as well as handling cases in which local prosecutors recuse themselves.

Nolan has resigned from the Campbell County School Board to which he was elected last November, according to a statement from his attorney.

Nolan, a long time public servant, is announcing that he is stepping down from the Campbell County School Board citing to concerns that the baseless and setup charges brought against him today are distracting from the Board’s important business. Mr. Nolan intends to mount a vigorous defense to the allegations and claims made against him.
Mr. Nolan wishes to express his admiration for the dedication shown by his fellow Board members and the school district’s administrators, as well as his strong support for their work on improving the operations of the school district and achieving the highest educational standards.
Mr. Nolan is furthermore concerned about the effects that the outrageous charges are having on his family members, who are also dedicated public servants and professionals living and working in the Northern Kentucky region.
Mr. Nolan is grateful that, under the US and KY Constitution, he is afforded the presumption of innocence that is guaranteed to all citizens and he is determined to clear his good name.
In closing, Mr. Nolan wishes to express his sincerest thanks to those in the Campbell County community for their outpouring of support.

From 1977 to 1982…I was arrested 3-times over this time span ….he dismissed the charges every time , skyline tavern on johns hill rd …across from NKU..
Maybe he liked me…my arrest were for D U I !!!! He was merciful to me, that’s all I know….but the judge that’s an ***-****…. Is old judge Trusty in covington….he sentenced my niece to 7- days in jail for speeding plus she had to pay all costs and a 30 day licence suspension for first offence
