The annual Boone County Farm Tour takes place Saturday, June 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The self-guided tour of some of the county’s working and historic farms will offer visitors a chance to learn more about agriculture in Boone County. Agriculture is a vital part of Boone County and there isn’t a better way to learn about where the county’s food and fibre is produced than to visit with local farmers.
Several of Boone County’s rural treasures invite you to visit them for this year’s farm tour, rain or shine. The Kinman Farm, also family-owned since 1946, includes bee hives, hayrides and a petting zoo.
The Real McCoys Farm and Recreational Club employs organic and sustainable practices and Eagle Bend Alpaca Farm is always a popular stop on the tour.
Also included on the tour is the Historic Dinsmore Homestead, which celebrates its 175th anniversary this year, and the Double H Ranch, with a variety of horses, including a granddaughter of the immortal Secretariat.
