9th Annual Jane Austen Festival

Sweet N Savory Food truck will be on the premises serving up their crepes on Saturday, July 15.

Jane Austen’s eulogy, written by her beloved brother Henry, has evoked criticism since the time it was published. Was she really the saintly moralist that Henry Austen made her out to be or perhaps the most subversive and unsparing satirist of her century as depicted in Robert Rodi’s “Bitch in a Bonnet”? Come hear Dr. Cheryl Kinney discuss the eulogies that were written and the one that should have been written for Jane Austen.

Although the colors of mourning are black, dove grey, purple & lavender, various vendors will have black accessories and even sashes for attendees to purchase to wear.
