Covington Board of Education will open is new Holmes High School Stadium at 7 p.m. August 24 — and is inviting the entire community to join the celebration
The celebration continues on August 25 at 7 p.m. when the Bulldogs pay their first football game at the new stadium and on August 26 when the first soccer games will be played there.

After nearly a year, the renovations of the athletic complex are complete — and include artificial turf, a new press box and a news track surface and new fencing.
“In Covington, we believe that facilities such as this new stadium have a place in education,” said Superintendent Alvin Garrison. “Facilities like this play a role in keeping our students engaged and active in the classroom and on the field.
“Actually this upgraded facility does more than that. I sends a message that our students and community are worth it.”
