Boone County Sheriff’s office reports two more automobile-related fatalities

A Warsaw man died Wednesday in a single-vehicle accident on Boat Dock Road in Union.

A Sheriff’s office statement indicates Howard Thomas was driving a vehicle that left Boat Dock Road and collided with two trees. The vehicle then returned to the road and rolled over on the driver’s side trapping Thomas.

He died at the scene from his injuries.

Saturday Rocky D. Creekmore was working on a pickup truck in Florence when it fell from supports and collapsed on him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Creekmore, 64, of Florence, is also known to hail from Fountain, Florida.

The Boone County Sheriff’s office released the following statements regarding the incidents:

On Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at approximately 10:10 p.m. a single vehicle collision in the 12,000 block of Boat Dock Road (KY-1925) in Union, Kentucky claimed the life of the single occupant in the vehicle.

Howard Thomas, 41 of Warsaw, Kentucky was driving his 1997 Jeep Cherokee South on Boat Dock Road between Bender Road & Lookout Lane when he went off the left side of the roadway colliding with two trees.  The Jeep then came back onto the roadway rolling over onto the drivers’ side of the vehicle trapping Thomas.

Thomas succumbed to his injuries at the scene.  The Boone County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating the collision.  Investigators have no preliminary indicators as to the cause of the accident.  Next of kin have been notified.

On Saturday, October 28, 2017 at approximately 4:05 p.m. a resident at the Grand of Florence rental complex near Florence, Kentucky notified the Public Safety Communications Center of an accident at 855 Clubtrail Drive.  Another resident there was pinned under a pickup truck he had been working on in the parking lot.

A 64 year old man was underneath his jacked up Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck working on it when it fell from its supports on top of him.  He was pronounced deceased on the scene.
