Wreaths Across America: Donate to place wreaths on veterans graves at Evergreen Cemetery Soldier’s Lot


Attorney Paul Whalen is coordinator for Wreaths Across America to place wreaths on Veterans graves at the Soldier’s Lot at Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate on Saturday morning December 16. 

Wreaths will be placed on the graves of Veterans at the Civil War Battery as well as the Soldier’s Lot.

Whalen is aiming to raise $6,600 for the 440 wreaths to be placed on these graves. 

Last year volunteers from the Campbell County Democrats, John R. Little VFW Auxiliary, The NKY Labor Council,  the Young Marines and other organizations contributed (as well as assisted with the placement) to the purchase of Wreaths for the National “Wreaths Across America” program.

The Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) will be presenting an Honor Guard at 9:30 a.m.  Wreath placement will commence at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday December 16th.

Contributions are tax deductible and checks made out to “Wreaths Across America” can be sent c/o Paul L. Whalen at PO Box 22; Fort Thomas, KY 41075. on the check write “Location Number: KYESLS” for Evergreen.

For a wreath for a relative who is not buried at the Soldier’s Lot, send a check for a minimum of $30 for one wreath for the Soldier’s Lot and one for your relative.
