Northern Kentucky Chamber to Host HR 100 panel on talent attraction on May 10 in Fort Mitchell


On Thursday, May 10 the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce (NKY Chamber) will host a panel event for HR professionals, “Community + Vibrancy = Talent Attraction.”

Panelists will discuss why a community that is attractive to talent will attract more companies and the importance of incorporating a “sense of place” in the onboarding process.

Panelists include:

Jules Shumate, Talent Attracting, Higher Ed, and Special Projects Leader at the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber – Shumate serves as the liaison between the region’s colleges and universities and the Cincy Chamber’s 3500+ member organizations to introduce students and newcomers alike through HELLO Cincy.

Eric Summe, President and CEO of meetNKY, the Northern Kentucky Convention & Visitors Bureau – Summe leads the Bureau’s mission as an aggressive sales, marketing, and service organization to positively impact Northern Kentucky’s economy through conventions, meeting, and visitor expenditures.

Julie Calvert, Executive Director of Source Cincinnati – Calvert spearheaded planning and development of Source Cincinnati. Funded by a regional business and civic coalition, Source Cincinnati uses social media and national press outreach to enhance perceptions of Cincinnati USA as a world-class region for everything from business and innovation to start ups and quality of life.Shirley Seifert, Director of Corporate Services for HUFF Realty Relocation – Seifert has worked in the mobility industry providing support and services to HUFF’s corporate clients and hundreds of their relocating employees. She is active in several mobility-related organizations, human resources groups.<
Normand Desmarais, Chairman and Founding Partner of TiER1 Performance Solutions – Chairman and Founding Partner, of TiER1 Performance Solutions, Desmarais has started several successful businesses, many of which have received national press and recognition for accomplishments in training, publishing, and web development. Desmarais shares his passion for entrepreneurship by helping young business owners in the community develop and grow their ideas.

The panel will take place at the NKY Chamber, 300 Buttermilk Pike Suite 330, Ft. Mitchell, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. A light breakfast will be served. The cost is $25 for NKY Chamber members and $40 for future Chamber members. SHRM Credit is available from session attendance. Event attendees must register online at nkychamber.com/events.
