Menards to break ground on Florence Heights store Thursday at noon, will complete Mall Road project


Mayor Diane Whalen has announced that Menards Home Improvement Store wiill break ground, Thursday, June 14 (tomorrow) at noon, at 5000 Apex Drive in Florence.

The 170,000-square-foot building will complete the Florence Heights Development Project which is currently anchored by Costco, Dave and Busters, Chick-fil-A and Outback Steakhouse. Menards spokesperson Jeff Abbott will join Mayor Whalen, Florence City Council and guests to celebrate the Groundbreaking on the property located between Mall Road and I-71/75.

The family owned business, well-known throughout the Midwest for its selection of high quality, name brand merchandise, will create employment opportunities and additional economic development in the City. “Our community and the entire Northern Kentucky area are excited to see Menards coming to Florence. We look forward to seeing the construction begin, and celebrating their grand opening in the months to follow”, said Mayor Whalen.

  1. When will the store open can’t wait to shop here . Glad to see it come in to Florence Kentucky we needed one of these stores for a long time. Thanks Florence for making this happen.
