Keivan Berges went 2-for-3 with a two-run double as the visiting Florence Freedom held on for a 4-3 win over the Schaumburg Boomers on Tuesday night.

Johnathon Tripp worked out of trouble in the bottom of the ninth inning to collect the save. Freedom center fielder Harrison White threw out Schaumburg’s Jack Parenty — trying to stretch a double into a triple — at third base to end the game.

Christian DeLeon went 6 1/3 innings and picked up the win for Florence.

Florence and Schaumburg continue the series Wednesday afternoon at Boomers Stadium.
