A Florence man has been arrested and charged with Terroristic Threatening 3rd degree in connection to threats against several Hamilton County offices.
Florence Police say a concerned citizen contacted them after seeing the threats attributed to Allan C. Summers, 51, on Facebook.
The posts included threats against the Hamilton County prosecutor’s office, public defender’s office, courthouse, and justice center.
Police say the threats were specific and advised family members to avoid the buildings on July 9.
Summers has several Facebook pages. One of them included this post:
“I’m asking that my friends and family please stay away from 230 court& Sycamore 1000 and 1000 main St. Stay away from this entire site on July 9 2018.. these are the Prosecuting Office the public defender’s office the courthouse and the Justice Center.. these are all the places that conspired to prosecute me and took away my freedom for 157 days ten years ago on July 9 2008.. Now it’s my turn to show the consequence for their behavior…. tick tock as I look at my clock Justice we be served for this entire block…”
Summers is currently being held in the Boone County Detention Center.
The Florence Police Department has released the following statement regarding the arrest:
On 07/01/18 the Florence Police Department was notified by a concerned citizen of some alarming posts on Facebook. The individual had posted several threatening messages toward the Hamilton County prosecutor’s office, public defender’s office, courthouse, and justice center. The threats were specific and included advising his family and friends to stay away from these building on July 9th.
The Florence Police Department notified the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office immediately. Both departments’ investigative units worked quickly on the case together. An arrest warrant was obtained by the Florence Police Department through the Boone County Attorney’s Office. The individual was located and arrested at 7360 Industrial Rd. with the help of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
The following individual was arrested for Terroristic Threatening 3rd and transported to the Boone County Detention Center:
Allan. C. Summers, 51 years old, Florence, KY
