Approximately 150 riders roared into St. Elizabeth Florence on Saturday, as part of the ninth annual American Legion Teddy Bear Ride.
Since 2010, the American Legion Riders have held this ride to benefit children who visit the St. Elizabeth Florence Emergency Department. The goal is to help put a smile on a child’s face when experiencing a visit to the hospital or emergency room.
The ride began at the American Legion Post 4 on U.S. Highway 42 in Florence and continued to St. Elizabeth Florence.
According to event organizers, the American Legion Post well exceeded its goal and collected more than 3,000 bears and other stuffed animals. Members of the Cincinnati Bengal cheerleaders, the BenGals, helped welcome the riders.
