The Erlanger Fire/EMS Department has received a 2017 Department of Homeland Security Assistance to Firefighters Grant in the amount of $171,004.
These funds will be applied to the purchase of new Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA’s) for the Department.
“Assistant Chief Dave McQuerry submitted grant information, Lieutenant Randy Godsey chaired the SCBA Committee (Deputy Chief Craig Stewart, Firefighter/EMT Chase Autry, Firefighter/Paramedic Brad Harden, Firefighter/Paramedic Brian Brownfield), and ALL of our members have been integral in the testing of demo units and providing invaluable feedback during the entire process,” said Fire/EMS Chief Todd Whitaker.
“Together we look forward to preserving and improving the health and safety of our personnel while maintaining exemplary delivery of services to citizens,” Whitaker added.
