Thomas More, which posted a 30-2 record last season and advanced to the NCAA Division III Final Four, opens the 2018-19 campaign on Nov. 9 with a road game at Wheaton (Ill.) at 8 p.m. The Saints play host to Midway (Ky.) at 7 p.m. in their home opener on Nov. 14 in the Connor Convocation Center.
NKU HOOPS BROADCASTS: A total of 21 Northern Kentucky University men’s basketball games are set to broadcast digitally on either ESPN+ or ESPN3 this season, with The Worldwide Leader in Sports announcing the programming schedule Thursday afternoon.
The slate of games on the digital networks kicks off with NKU’s home opener against Wilmington on Nov. 6 and concludes with the season finale at Green Bay on March 2. Both contests will air on ESPN+.
Three non-conference road games are also slated for the digital networks — Northern Illinois and Morehead State on ESPN+ and Central Florida on ESPN3.
Highlighting the home lineup is an ESPN+ showdown against Maryland-Baltimore County, which became the first 16-seed to defeat a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament last year with its stunning upset of top-seeded Virginia, and the Horizon League opener against IUPUI, also scheduled for ESPN+. The Norse also square off against Oakland on ESPN3 on Feb. 9, NKU’s Homecoming.
In addition to the 21 games on the digital platforms, NKU will face Wright State on ESPN’s over-the-air networks. The home game at BB&T Arena on Jan. 11 will air on ESPN2, while the return game at Wright State’s Nutter Center on Feb. 15 is slated for ESPNU.
