THURSDAY, JANUARY 3
Race 1
DELIGHTFUL DIAMOND has the speed to make the lead and is capable of the wire-to-wire score in this one. NYUME’S TREASURE drops in class and figures to be tough to beat at this level. DON’T STOP MARIA comes off a solid win and has to be respected.
Race 2
POSITIVE VIBES woke up last out and gets the nod against this bunch. TALK GAME was third last out in her first race back after a two-month break. She figures to move forward and is the one to beat. GODELLO ran poorly as the favorite at Mountaineer but had to need that race.
Race 3
VILLA SAVINA closed well in the fog to get second in her Turfway debut. She drops a notch in class and looks like a winner with Rafael Mojica picking up the mount for Brian Murphy. STURN DONNA has finished in the money in her last six races and is the one to beat. SHE’S A FINE LINE fits in here.
Race 4
GALES OF NOVEMBER is a lightly raced five year old who ran poorly last out against better but has a solid record against claiming company. A return to her best would make her a winner tonight. EASY ATTITUDE beat the top pick last out and has to be respected. DON’T TELL MOM moves up in class after a win and is a solid threat.
Race 5
LIBERTY FIRE comes off a winning effort last out and can make it two in a row with Machado back aboard for Kevin Fletcher. NATIVE WONDER is a seven year old with just three career wins but she ran well in her Turfway debut and looks like a definite contender. BELA MENINA has a solid record over this track and comes off a win last out.
Race 6
FAYETTE WARRIOR and SHIP OF THE LINE form an extremely tough entry for Calumet Farm. Both have solid credentials and either one of them is capable of winning. It would be tough to bet against them but they figure to be 3/5 or less. SOULMATE looked sharp breaking his maiden for a tag and looks best of the rest.
Race 7
STEREO VIEWING has run well in all three of her races. She has the speed to be on or near the lead and appears to be in a good spot to get her maiden win tonight. TRUE COLORS showed improvement in her second race for Wes Ward and looks like the main competition. TOLERATION ran well in Indiana but has been off since July.
Race 8
LAKE SNOW is an eight-year-old veteran who was second in her Turfway debut last out. A repeat of that one should make her a winner with Johnny McKee back aboard for Daniel O’Hallaron. CONQUEST SORCEROR is wheeled right back after a fourth-place finish here last Friday. She cuts back to 6 1/2 furlongs and will be running late. ROCKPORT DANCER rates a chance.
