44 local brews among 102 varieties at Taste of Cincy; Braxton Brewing Co. to offer limited-edition beers

Taste of Cincinnati, presented by Budweiser, will feature more than 100 beer varieties as part of the nation’s longest running culinary arts festival.

The event, May 27-29, will take place on Fifth Street in downtown Cincinnati, from Main Street to the I-71 and Columbia Parkway ramps.

“As we increase the diversity of our offerings, Taste of Cincinnati is excited to offer 102 beers – and 44 of them are brewed locally,” said Cynthia Oxley, director of Taste of Cincinnati.

Covington’s Braxton Brewing Company is joining Taste of Cincinnati as sponsor of the Braxton Beer Garden in the P&G Gardens. In addition to favorites, Braxton will offer limited-release beers in the Braxton Beer Garden. Taste of Cincinnati marks the first-time Braxton Labs beers will be sent into the public.

“Braxton will offer one keg of each limited-release beer,” added Oxley. “Arrive early to get a taste of something special.”

Budweiser is bringing the Budweiser Macro Bar to Taste of Cincinnati as it continues to make bold and proud statements affirming Budweiser’s quality and role in beer culture.

MadTree Brewing Company and Kentucky Ale are sponsoring Taste of Cincinnati beer gardens, at P&G’s East Plaza and First Financial Plaza, respectively.

Rhinegeist is the new sponsor of Taste of Cincinnati’s Food Truck Alley, expanded for 2017. Food Truck Alley, now on the Fifth Street ramp to Columbia Parkway, will showcase 17 food trucks and Rhinegeist beers.

Stella Artois is introducing its Airstream bar to Taste of Cincinnati. Stella is the Latin word for star and the Stella Artois Airstream will be a “stellar” addition to the mainstage area at Western & Southern.

The Fifth and Vodway is Taste of Cincinnati’s first signature cocktail. Made with citrus vodka, triple sec, cranberry, and lemon-lime soda, the Fifth and Vodway will be served in a commemorative Taste of Cincinnati glass.

Taste of Cincinnati, produced by the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, will feature more than 70 restaurants, food trucks and culinary entrepreneurs serving more than 300 menu items. 45 musical acts will perform across five stages throughout the Memorial Day weekend. The festival will open at 11 a.m., all three days. Taste of Cincinnati 2016 enjoyed a record-tying crowd of more than 550,000.
