Meyer

Dan Meyer, CEO of Nehemiah Manufacturing, has over 30 years of consumer packaged goods experience and has held senior management positions with large, multi-national companies. Nehemiah is committed to bringing manufacturing jobs back to the tristate area to stimulate community development and economic growth. The free soft skill training and care resources (i.e. expungement services) at Life Learning Center unified with local job opportunities through Nehemiah Manufacturing will likely fill the unemployment gap and provide a second chance to convicted and rehabilitated individuals to sustain living wage careers.

Gary Massa is Vice President for University Relations at Xavier University, managing all phases of development including the annual fund, major gifts, estate and planned giving and alumni relations.

Massa

Massa, a two-time Xavier graduate, joined Xavier in June 1999, after 17 successful years in the corporate world as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Midland Company, a Sales Manager for Reebok International, as well as several management positions at Heublein Inc./Diago. During his tenure at Xavier, Massa’s team was responsible for nearly 90 percent of what has been raised in the history of the University. The Annual Fund has doubled and recently experienced its seventh record year in a row and estate giving to the University has quadrupled as well.

“Having been involved in numerous non-profit organizations and boards across Cincinnati, I have found that Life Learning Center’s holistic approach to permanently tackle the cycle of poverty is a critical component to address the complex barriers many unemployed individuals face,” said Massa. “I look forward to serving on the board and helping make a difference in the larger tri-state area.”

Hughes

Patrick Hughes is a partner at Dressman Benzinger LaVelle law firm who focuses on public-private partnerships, infrastructure development, economic development, commercial transactions, banking, healthcare, and government regulation in Kentucky and Ohio. He has successfully represented clients in a variety of matters involving public-private partnerships, banking and public financing, infrastructure development and construction, healthcare and insurance regulation. In 2011 and 2012, Hughes served as Chief Deputy Attorney General to Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway. As Chief Deputy, he was responsible for daily operations, including criminal and civil investigations and enforcement actions.

Hughes was appointed by Governor Steve Beshear to the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure, and as Chair of the Gateway Community and Technical College Nominating Commission.
