Obituary For Adaline Winkler

Adaline “Pete” Winkler (nee Kiefer) aged 89, passed peacefully in her sleep on September 24, 2023. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James; her son, Jeffrey Winkler; and grandson, Paul Wesselkamper. She is survived by her daughters Felicia “Lisa” (the late Michael) Wesselkamper and Jennifer Winkler and son Christopher Winkler. Grandson Matthew Wesselkamper and her great grandchildren Kara and Braxton Wesselkamper. sister Michelle “Mickey” Kappesser. Pete grew up in Bellevue, KY and was an early fixture on the Uncle Al Show, playing Cinderella in the early 1950’s. She moved to Cincinnati after marrying and raised her children, later returning to work as a seamstress making custom window treatments. She enjoyed singing, a good laugh, gardening and always had a book (or Kindle) in hand. Honoring Pete’s final wish to be buried in Kentucky, she will be buried in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Ft. Thomas. Visitation Thursday, September 28, 2023 at St. Stephen’s Cemetery Chapel at 1:15 pm and prayer services at 2 pm. The chapel is in the rear of the cemetery; enter through the gates and follow the road straight back. Please be advised, there are no amenities in the chapel, so as mom would say “Go before you go!” In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in her name to Hospice of Cincinnati https://hospiceofcincincinnati.org/donate, 4310 Cooper Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio 45242.
