Obituary For Betty Pemberton
Betty Lou Goodin Pemberton, 80, of Independence, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. She was a retired pharmacy technician for St. Elizabeth Hospital. Betty loved her daughters, sister, grandchildren and her dog Maggie very much. She loved animals, was very interested in local history, loved to read, especially British history and TV murder shows. She is preceded by her parents Alonzo and Evelyn Goodin, much beloved step-father Jesse C. McHargue. Survived by her daughters- Tanya Pemberton and Michele (Scott) Wilbers, her sister- Phyllis Eddy, two grandchildren- Aaron and Amelia Wilbers, who she was loving known to as “Grammy; niece- Desirea Rhodes and nephew- William Glenn Eddy. Visitation will be 10 – 12pm Tuesday, September 23, 2025, Funeral at 12pm at Swindler & Currin Funeral Home, Independence, KY. Rev. Charlie Steger will be officiating. Burial Independence Cemetery following funeral. Memorials can be made to Kenton County Animal Shelter, 1020 Mary Laidley Drive, Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017 or to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Road, Edgewood, KY 41017.
