Obituary For Charlene Schubert
With family by her side, Charlene (Warr) Schubert, 60, of Erlanger, KY, transitioned to her journey of eternal life on March 31, 2010.
Charlene was born to Charles and Mary (McCabe) Warr, in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she resided for most of her life, aside from her last 11 years, residing in Northern Kentucky.
She was a sister to her surviving brother, James Warr, and her brother Thomas Warr, who passed away as a small child.
Charlene went on to become a wife, then a mother to her 3 children: Paul Dale, Darlene, and Alanis.
She would later become a grandmother to 11 grandchildren: Stephanie, Tiffany, Katrina, Christina, Patricia, Joshua, Jason, Megan, Christasia, Cayleb, and Serenity.
Charlene was a loving person who wished for everyone to live in happiness and kindness.
A constant source of support for her family and friends, she did whatever she could to make life better for others.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening, painting, spending time in nature, and absolutely loved to watch figure skating competitions.
She enjoyed many types of music but none could put a smile on her face quite like an Elvis Presley song. She was also a big fan of Cher’s song, “Life After Love” and Nat King Cole’s, “Unforgettable”.
While Charlene found meaning in many areas of life, absolutely nothing could hold a candle to her children and grandchildren.
She loved being a grandmother, and all the things she loved doing, she loved even more, when they were around. Whether it was a walk to the park or to the store to pickup little treats, teaching them how to care for plants, how to play cards, or sharing tasty slices of her pineapple upside down cake, her joy was palpable in those moments, because she was sharing them with her grandchildren.
As a mother, she gave her all, working tirelessly to provide for her children. Whether it was her great big hugs, her displays of strength through adversity, creating the fanciest (or just plain delicious) meals from the tiniest budget, leaving her comfort zone to support her children’s dreams, or being there during their missteps, she gave everything she had in her to be the best mom she could be.
Throughout Charlene’s life, she had experienced more adversity than most people can imagine, but somehow, she continued on, never losing the essence of her beautiful heart. As with any human, she made her share of mistakes, but she was sweet and kind. She wanted to love and to be loved.
A beautiful spirit she will forever be, a spirit this world could use more of.
We thank her for opening our minds to the beauty and possibilities this life can bring.
She will be forever in our hearts, and we will be forever grateful for what she gave.
