Claire Ann Ledonne (nee. Mertle) 86, of Highland Heights, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025 at Cold Spring Transitional Care Center. She was a Staff Assistant with Procter & Gamble before retiring and a member of Holy Spirit Parish in Newport. Claire was originally from Newport and attended Notre Dame Academy. She was an amazing mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family.. She was preceded in death by her parents, George & Mary Mertle and brother, George Mertle. Claire is survived by her son, Michael (Kim) Ledonne; daughters, Kathy (Mike) Meyers & Terry (Steve) Mazzella; brother, Ken Mertle; 9 grandchildren, Craig Meyers, Amy Meyers, Sara (Joe) Ziegler, Jenny (Colin) Thompson, Michael Mazzella, Nikki (Steven) Garza, David (Danielle) Meyers, Amy (John) Matthews & Dominic (Maria) Mazzella and 8 great grandchildren, Kara, Charlotte, Emma, Alli, Paisley, Max, Lucy & Jillian. Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m., Friday, January 2nd at Holy Spirit Parish, Newport. Claire will be laid to rest in St. Stephen Cemetery, Ft. Thomas. Memorials may be made to the charity of the one's choice. Online condolences can be given at dmefuneral.com.
