Obituary For Coleman Walker Brown Jr.

Coleman Walker Brown Jr, commonly known as “Butch,” was born August 30, 1948 in Cincinnati, Oh. He was the eldest child of the late Coleman W. Brown Sr. and Dorothy I. Brown. Butch, departed this earth and began his journey in the afterlife on November 2, 2024.

Butch and his first wife Ingrid ( Hicks) Brown, raised their 2 boys. He was happily married for 41 years to Cindy (Link) Brown.

Butch graduated from Woodward High School, in 1966. After HS, he went to work at GE for two years before being drafted into the Army. During the Vietnam War he ran the printing press. When he returned home, he began his 36 years career at Western Southern as Data Technician. He retired from Western and Southern 2008. Butch was an amazing bowler, basketball & baseball player. Some say he would have made it to the league if he hadn’t hurt himself. An avid sports fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Bengals, University of Cincinnati and Xavier Musketeers. He loved landscaping but his garden was his pride and joy!!!

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Cindy, a sister Tanya Dawson (the late Calvin Dawson), mother in law June Bryant ( the late Richard Link), sister in laws Kathy Lux (the late Stephen Lux), Laura Link (Kathleen Steffen); 2 sons, Coleman W.Brown III (LaDonna Smith) of Atlanta, Ga & Michael W. Brown (Erika ) of Columbia, MD; his faithful dog Nellie; four grandchildren Coleman W. Brown IV, LaDonna Brown, Carter Brown and Averi Brown; a nephew Trenice Brown; three nieces, the late Tracie Altland (Dawson), Dorothy Dawson and Katelyn Lux (Josh Taylor); a host of great nephews and nieces; and close & supportive family and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home 427 S. Ft. Thomas Ave., Fort Thomas, Kentucky. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 pm at St. Thomas Church, Fort Thomas. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas with Military Honors.
