Obituary For David John Stidham
David John Stidham, former resident of Bellevue Kentucky, died unexpectedly age 68 on October 18, 2024 in Ft. Myers, Florida where he retired 8 years ago.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Martha (Batsch) Stidham, older brother Harold (Pep) Stidham and favorite sister-in-law Deb Stidham.
He is survived by siblings Susan (Bill) Minton, Nancy Stidham, Michael Stidham. Dave eagerly served as the rowdy non-disciplinarian uncle to Erin (Matt) Pleiman, Steve (Kelly) Stidham, Jamie Stidham, Stephanie Minton, Andy Minton and Jenna (Nick)
Dupont. He is survived by great-niece Avery Pleiman and great-nephews Isaac Stidham and Conner Pleiman.
A graduate of NKU, Dave thoroughly enjoyed travel and playing music. He moved often for work yet continued to volunteer with Special Olympics wherever he lived. Dave genuinely enjoyed finding solutions to challenges in the workplace. He excelled at sharing his expertise, at supporting and encouraging coworkers especially those he trained and supervised.
Dave, like his Dad, never knew a stranger. He was a kind, generous friend to all. Dave’s legacy will continue to warm the hearts and memories of those who were blessed to know him.
A family service will be held. Donations in his memory may be made to Special Olympics or the charity of your choice. https://www.specialolympics.org/programs/united-states/kentucky
