Obituary For Don C. Valentine

Don C. Valentine, age 88, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. He was born in Heidrick, Kentucky, to the late Caleb and Nora Valentine.

Don is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Carole Valentine (née Black); his son, Rick (Ginger) Valentine; his daughter, Kim (Doug) Stith; and his brothers, Harold Valentine and Jerry (Donna) Valentine. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Bane Valentine, Brittany (Tyler) Scott, Taylor (Derrick) Lynn, and Luke Hildebrant, and a loving great-grandfather to Korbin Scott.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Denny Valentine, Kenneth Valentine, Carol Valentine, Jay Valentine, Jimmy Valentine, Thelma Brown, and Jeree Serdynski.

Don spent his career in the construction industry as a residential home builder and later served as a building inspector for Boone County, roles that reflected his strong work ethic, integrity, and attention to detail. Beyond his professional life, Don was an accomplished musician, finding great joy in playing the guitar and banjo. He had a deep love for country music, which brought happiness to both him and those around him.

Above all, Don cherished his family, and his legacy will live on through the many lives he touched throughout his years.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 U.S. Highway 42, Florence, Kentucky 41042. Burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made in Don’s honor to Bluegrass Care Navigators, 1733 Harrodsburg Road, Lexington, Kentucky 40504.
