Obituary For Emma Coleman

Wednesday, June 10, 1931. Emma Coleman took her first breath. Her Aunt Phoebe delivered her to their family home in Erlanger, Kentucky. Her journey through this life began when life expectancy was low, and hardships were high. Emma was the youngest of 8 children: 4 boys and 4 girls. At age 15, she left school to contribute to the household finances. First, she tried babysitting, and then soon after, joined her sisters at the bag factory in Covington, she retired from the same job after 45 years.

She had two daughters, Paula and Linda, before meeting the love of her life, RD Scalf, and gaining two sons, Ronny and Danny. Emma's life was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. To her family was more than just blood relatives. She always did what she could to help others in need. Those whose life she touched will remember her legacy of selflessness, unconditional love, and fiery spirit. Mom, Mother, Mamaw, Aunt, and friend, we love you very much.
