Obituaries

Fred Robert Rombold, 80, of Independence, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 24, 2025, at home, surrounded by family. He was born March 14, 1945, in Cincinnati, the son of the late Fred Rombold, Sr; and Helen Hemingway Rombold. He was employed by Weiss Technik North America for 58 years, he was an Army Veteran and a loyal member of Seven Hills Church for over 30 years. He was a true man of God who loved the Lord with all his heart. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Graven Rombold; his children, Tony Leach; Kimberly Louis; Denise Gripshover; David Leach (Jenny); Theresa Cahill (Thomas); Matthew Rombold; Noah Rombold; Jeannetta Gaunt (Michael); Christina Gegg (Robert) and Lea Rombold; brother Jimmy Rombold, Sr; (Darlene); sisters Norma Oliver (Tom); and Kathy Bowman and 18 grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Rombold. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at the Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A; where funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, December 3, 2025, with Marcus Mecum officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Seven Hills Church, 6800 Hazel Ct. Florence, 41042.
