Obituary For Glenda Sue Prather
Glenda “Sue” Prather, age 63, of Taylor Mill, KY, passed away on December 31st, 2025, surrounded by family, after a sudden illness.
She was born on May 3, 1962, in Pineville, KY to Jack and Margie Wilson. Sue was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness, strength, and warmth touched everyone who knew her.
She dedicated much of her life to family, and she will be remembered for her generosity, sense of humor, devotion to family, and her love of cooking. Above all, she cherished time spent with those she loved.
She is survived by her husband Samuel Prather and her children, James Wilson, Amy Haddad (Phil), Larry Abney, Philip Abney, Christopher Abney, her sister Deborah Woods, her brother Robert Troxel, and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Margie Wilson, her son David Prather, and her brothers Jack Wilson, Jimmie Wilson, and Kenny Ray Wilson.
The visitation will be held on Friday, January 9th, 2026 from 9-11am and a service following directly after at 11am at Floral Hills Funeral Home on 5336 Old Taylor Mill Rd, Taylor Mill, KY. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 9, 2026, at the Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A, where visitation will be held from 9- 11 AM. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
Her love and legacy will live on in all who knew her.
