Obituary For Helen Hamm

Helen Jacqlyn “Jackie” Hamm, 93, of Northern Kentucky, entered peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, after a long life lived in steadfast faith and devotion. Jackie followed the footsteps of Jesus in all she did. Her gentle heart, servant’s spirit, and unwavering trust in the Lord were the foundation of a life that blessed everyone who knew her.

A devoted member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church for nearly 50 years, Jackie faithfully attended services, read her daily devotions, and spent time in the Word each day. She was known as a true prayer warrior, lifting up family, friends, and countless others to the Lord with sincerity and love. Her faith was not just something she practiced—it was who she was.

Jackie treasured her family deeply and lived out her calling as a homemaker through and through, after retiring from Boeing as an administrative assistant. She enjoyed crafting of all kinds, creating beauty and joy with her hands. Her home reflected her warm, nurturing spirit—surrounded on all sides by vibrant flowers she lovingly tended as part of her gardening passion. She also found great joy in watching and feeding the birds, faithfully filling her feeders to care for God’s small creatures.

One of Jackie’s most beloved hobbies was her collection of pigs, a unique and joyful assortment that grew so impressively it once caught the attention of the Cincinnati Enquirer, which featured an interview with her about her remarkable collection.

Above all, Jackie loved Jesus and her family. Her life was a living testimony of kindness, faithfulness, and grace. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and prayer that will continue to shine in the lives of all who were blessed to know her.

Jackie’s presence will be deeply missed, but we rejoice knowing she is now at peace, welcomed into her eternal home with Christ.

Jackie is survived by her daughter; Linda (Rob) Sept, grandchildren; Barry, Fred, and Justin Yocum, great-grandchild; Kasen Yocum, brothers; Tom (Mario) Ruddick, Bill (Margie) Ruddick, many nieces and nephews, and a host of community friends.

Preceding her in death is her husband; Howard Hamm, parents; George and Helen Ruddick, siblings; George Ruddick, Barbara Traylor, and Sue Ray.

Please join family for a service honoring Jackie at the Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Ave, Independence, KY 41051. Visitation begins at 10:00am with service to follow at 12:00pm.
