Obituary For Helen Hampson

Helen Hampson, a vibrant spirit whose warmth and zest for life touched the hearts of everyone around her, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, in Edgewood, Kentucky, surrounded by her beloved family. Born on July 15, 1934, in Flat Lick, Kentucky, Helen was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, as well as a cherished sister and friend.

Known for her spunky personality and unmistakable fashion sense, Helen was a spitfire in every sense of the word. She was family-oriented, always making time for her loved ones, and she possessed the unique ability to make everyone feel special and valued. Helen never met anyone who didn’t love her, and her infectious smile and charming demeanor created an aura of joy that radiated to all who crossed her path. She had a passion for gardening, shopping, and taking time to pamper herself with perfectly coiffed hair and nails, which reflected her dedication to beauty inside and out.

Her proudest accomplishments were her family, which she cherished above all else. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Tony) Combs; son, John (Nora) Bramer; daughter, Tina (Bobby Stevens) Caudill; and a host of grandchildren: Michelle (Greg), Michael (Kisha), Jeremy (Katrina), Melissa, Heather (Chris), Angel, and Jordan. Her legacy continues through her many great-grandchildren, including Devon, Isabella (Tanner), Rylie, Ayden, Sebastian, Grayson, Isaac, Brian (Hannah), Aaron, Alyssa (Chris), Cora, and Caleb, as well as her great-great-grandchildren, Tatum, Beckett, Brayden, Breah, Parker, and Dawson. Additionally, she is survived by her dear sister, May Skinner, along with a host of other family members and friends who hold her memory close to their hearts.

Helen joins her beloved family in eternal rest, including her mother, Sarah Baker (nee Clouse); father, Dutch Baker; thirteen siblings; husband, Richard Hampson; and daughter, Frances Brammer, who welcomed her with open arms.

In her honor, a visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northern Kentucky, on February 20, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, followed by a funeral service. A graveside service at Pythian Grove Cemetery in Berry, Kentucky, will immediately follow. The family will host a reception at the funeral home after the burial for friends and family to share a meal and memories.
