Obituary For James Allen Poole

James “Jim” Allen Poole, age 80 of Florence, Kentucky passed away on January 4, 2024. Jim was born in Verona, Kentucky on June 22, 1943 to Joseph Poole and Sarah Allen Poole. Jim was a retired Computer Programmer with the IRS, a U.S. Air Force Veteran, a member of St. Paul Church in Florence, Kentucky, was an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan, an avid genealogist, and loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Jim is preceded in death by his Parents and Siblings Rose Dewalt, Jean Phipps, Nell Jo Nantz, Richard Poole, and Donald Poole. Jim is survived by his Wife of 53 years Carol Poole, Son Brian Poole (Karen), Daughter Mary Poole, and Grandchildren Aidan Poole and Reagan Poole. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 PM on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at St. Paul Church, 7301 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY 41042. Visitation will be from 9 AM – 11:30 AM on Wednesday, January 10 at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 US 42, Florence, KY 41042. Jim will be laid to rest with U.S. Air Force honors on Wednesday, January 17 at 1 PM at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 644 Linn St., #1026, Cincinnati, OH 45203. Online condolences may be made at www.stithfuneralhomes.com
