Jayne A. Holmes, 91 of Villa Hills, passed away on February 12, 2024.

Jayne was a proud graduate of the 1953 class from St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing. Jayne’s life passions were church, family and horses. Her love for horses grew early in her life as she rode Arabian horses in competitions around the country, bringing home numerous first place wins. Into adulthood Jayne enjoyed shopping for antiques. Jayne was a beloved grandmother and affectionately called “Nanny” by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jayne was preceded in death by her husband: Dr. James Holmes, parents: Spencer and Eva Scheideman, and son-in-law: Ed Gabriel. Jayne is survived by her daughter: Cynthia (Steve) Rusconi, daughter: Sandra Gabriel, son: James (Phyllis) Holmes, sister: Carol (Bill) Walls, 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 11:30am to 1pm at Highland Cemetery Chapel. Funeral services will immediately follow in the Chapel at 1pm.
